Welcome to our Newborn Photography Blog!
Newborn Photography Studio owners Maxine and Shellaine welcome you to their Edmonton photography studio! For a quick glimpse at their photography studio, visit the BLOG! They are delighted to have this dedicated space in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Located just off Jasper and 124st. Their cozy studio is near boutique shopping, and some of the best restaurants in town! In the summer the area is great to walk. Next to High Street and close to some great art galleries. Come for the shoot, and then stay and enjoy the area.
The Photography Studio
Owning a Newborn Photography Studio where different photo sessions are shot can be challenging. However these ladies manage! Maxine and Shellaine photograph most sessions using both natural and studio light. To properly control and direct light, separate photography spaces are used as well. Family pictures are taken in the main room. The large windows in this space allow natural light to illuminate the subjects and area perfectly. The space is bright, with white wood floors. And, of course, nearly a bank of west facing windows. They provide the soft light for family images. In other words, its a photographers dream lighting! Most family images are shot on their antique bed set. Wardrobe for parents can be available. Helping families coordinate, and easing the stress of planning what to wear is another bonus to booking with these ladies.
The Newborn Room
In the newborn room, the prop and beanbag sets are photographed. This room has a set of french doors to contain heat and control noise. Tired parents can watch (or nap) from the couch. All this without overheating before family photos. They are also welcome in the newborn room at anytime, of course! Clients complete a questionnaire before their session. As a result, the questionnaire assists in colour and style design. The above images show a newborn posed in a prop in Maxine and Shellaine’s newborn photography studio. Visit the Newborn Gallery to view a variety of sets.
The Newborn Beanbag:
Studio beanbag setup is a client favourite. The simplicity of baby wrapped or with a sweet little knit hat is irresistible! Maxine and Shellaine photograph posed babies on a blanket covered beanbag. Soft, stretchy fabric is used. Baby can be naked or clothed. Knit bonnets and wraps provide accent colour and tie in colours from the other sets. A local gem Maxine and Shellaine love is: Sugar Baby Photo Props . She provides some of their favourite fabrics and wraps.
Capturing tender moments for clients means everything! Maxine and Shellaine are grateful to do their dream job, in a beautiful studio in an amazing city! If you are expecting a baby, hitting a special milestone, or just want to capture some memories, send Maxine and Shellaine a message: Contact Us
