Maxine and Shellaine are pleased to offer three different, customizable newborn portrait sessions. This post is to share what a Simplicity Session can look like, when it includes baby and parents.
What is a Simplicity Session?
A Simplicity Session includes three photography set-ups. This is usually a seamless blanket, prop (bucket or bowl) and family set (which includes parents with baby, both together and separate. To add a sibling to this newborn portrait session, we would upgrade to the Classic collection, as seen here.
Can a Simplicity Session be only baby, or Include a sibling?
Yes, we can do either, to see the different options, check out this post. To include both family and sibling images, we would upgrade your package to the Classic collection.
Can you explain a little more what a ‘photography set up is”?
Yes! First the seamless blanket. This is the only set we do with baby naked. We will do about three poses here (examples of poses, are back wrap, womb pose, bum up, face forward and side). Baby leads us in this, and we do the poses that he/she is comfortable in. We also add touches of colour with wraps, headbands and hats.
Next we have the prop shot. The prop shot is baby in a bowl, basket, bucket or crate. We can add greenery or flowers to this set. As well, we add headbands and bonnets.
Lastly, we have or family set. For a Simplicity Session we shoot parents with baby both separate and together. We wrap baby in one of our cozy stretchy wraps, so they stay secure and happy. We also offer a studio wardrobe to borrow from, with over 25 women’s dresses, and simple mens henleys and t-shirts.
