Loved this session of 5 month baby portraits Edmonton ! We often shoot newborn sessions and then sitter sessions, but there is no need to wait if you have missed out on the newborn stage. While newborns are sleepy and curly, and we can shoot many prop set ups with them, when shooting an older baby we get great expressions, as baby is more interactive. And while waiting for a sitter session, when baby can sit on their own is nice, its also great to capture little ones at this in between stage, while they are still small. Sometimes the perfect time is when you have it!

 

For this light and airy family portrait session, the clients borrowed dresses from our studio wardrobe. We have many lace gowns in all sizes to shoot at our mostly white studio in Edmonton. We also provided the romper for the little guy. Then of course, when shooting baby of any age, including 5 month baby portraits, we love to shoot some diaper shots in the high key portrait style. High key portraits are the bright images, with the all white background. Our white studio in Edmonton is perfect for high key portraits, as we have an entire wall of windows, and white wood floors. 

 

If the client would like darker images, we can also shoot 5 month baby portraits on a black or wood background, adding in other colours as well. If baby is sitting, a sample session would look like this.
